NOW'S The Time, To Buy Some WINE, Specifically at The Infinite Monkey Theorem!

One of the first favorite hangout spots of mine when I initially moved to Austin was

The Infinite Monkey Theorem

Coming to Austin in late 2015, it brought Austin’s first urban winery with it.
Now, they’re making wine on the East side of Austin with high-quality grapes from the High Plains of Texas.

During these hard times, our local establishments need us more than ever, and this includes wineries.

Speaking with their manager, Shana, she brought a lot of light to the fact that this place has become an artistic institution for Austinites.
To lose this place, means to lose all of the beautiful artwork that adorns the walls and putting some incredible, kind people out of jobs!

NOTE: IMT canned wines are also available at H-E-B and some local restaurants around town, so go get yourself some 4-packs if you cannot make it out to the winery.
Granted, you won’t get the discount there, as you will at IMT!

Stepping through the front door, you are pleasantly overwhelmed by vibrant colors, eclectic vibes, and vintage modern decor. Once you approach the bar, you are welcomed by a smiling (behind the mask, of course) face who is willing to help you figure out your new favorite wine.

Speaking of your new favorite wine, allow me to introduce you to these incredible wines.

BOTTLED WINES

Red Wines

Malbec (CO)

“Deep and rich in color, earthy with some raisin on the nose, yet the palate that’s filled with black cherry, cocoa, and dried fig. The tannins on the finish make it easy to pair alongside braised meats or gourmet sausages, giving the wine an almost gamey note.” [$24.99*]

Cabernet Franc

“Subtle violet and plum aromas. With fruit and spice covering the palate this wine flirts between the robust and the elegant. A hugely versatile offering which will pair with everything from a taco, to a beautiful rack of lamb. [$24.99*]

Tempranillo
MY FAVORITE

“Light in body and smooth in finish, our Tempranillo is satisfyingly smoky.” Drinking this wine, I feel like I should be sitting on a velvet couch, in a leather jacket with a glass of this Tempranillo in one hand and a cigar in the other. It makes me feel warm and powerful. [$24.99*]

Malbec 2016, Tempranillo 2018, The Blind Watchmaker, Syrah

The Blind Watchmaker Red

This “full bodied, big rounded tannins combined with plenty of fruity notes, this wine is both a ‘stand-alone’ or ‘pair with anything’ rockstar. The nose offers a lot of crushed berries, with undertones of green tea.” [$24.99*]

Syrah

“Velvet describes not only the color of this wine, but the mouthfeel too. A very rich purply velvet, almost enough to stain the glass but definitely enough to stain the lips. Aromas match the color with tons of ripe blackberry and truffle. This is an easily agreeable wine with flavors of black plum, leather, and a little spice with ripe tannins. One sip and you'll wonder when the roast is coming out.” [$24.99*]

 White Wines

Viognier (TX)

Texas wine with “orange blossoms, nectar, tangerine, baked honey apricots, and muted lemon” makes this a very refreshing white wine. [$19.99*]

Sauvignon Blanc

“The floral and citrus notes complement tropical nuances beautifully, to create a fresh and vibrant everyday white wine.” Additionally, notes of melon paired bright in acid. [$19.99*]

Chenin Blanc
