Austin Restaurant Weeks | August 15 - September 2
This week started Austin Restaurant Weeks, which runs from August 15th through September 2nd 2019 presented by Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
109 local Austin participating restaurants donate a portion of their specialty prix fixe menu price to the Central Texas Food Bank.
The restaurants might offer a $20 lunch prix fixe, $35 dinner prix fixe, $50 dinner prix fixe, and/or cocktail, wine, or beer option.

$20 Lunch Prix Fixe
2 - 3 Courses
Provides 12 meals for our neighbors in need.
$35 Dinner Prix Fixe
3 - 4 Courses
Provides 20 meals for our neighbors in need.
$50 Dinner Prix Fixe
3 - 4 Courses
Provides 32 meals for our neighbors in need.
Cocktail - Priced at $12 resulting in a $2 that provides 8 meals.
Wine/Beer - Each result in a $1 donation that provides 4 meals.

My Austin Restaurant Weeks Advice
Go try local restaurants you haven’t had the chance to visit but be sure to compare the normal prices versus the prix fixe meal pricing. I have seen a few places where you might save only a dollar or two. In my experience, when I go out to eat with my fiance, we wouldn’t usually buy two appetizers and two desserts, so after having to buy all of that we aren’t seeing any sort of “special pricing.”
HOWEVER, I absolutely encourage everyone to support their local charities and food banks, so I appreciate seeing that this is in support of the Central Texas Food Bank! So, I would say to still go experience these incredible, local restaurants but maybe compare prices but don’t get fooled by the Prixe Fixe menus, buy their drinks that they claim they’re donating a portion of but then I’d say to send off a personal donation to the CTFB to help with our local hunger issue.
