Many people might be in town as badge holders, but let’s talk about the locals or the ones who want to experience SXSW unofficially.

For this post, I’m going to just stick to some spots that piqued my interest and share them with you but if you want to see ALL of the options, go to their incredible list!
South By FYI tips:
✨ Wear comfortable shoes (you’ll be walking a lot) and the weather is so out of wack right now, be prepared for cold, hot, & rain.
✨ Don’t drive because parking is tough and many streets are closed. I suggest ridesharing (Lyft, Uber, Earth Share) or if you’re already downtown, public transportation or scooters!
✨ Be prepared to wait in a lot of lines, patience is a virtue. Being with friends makes this waiting manageable so bring a pal along with you.
