Many people might be in town as badge holders, but let’s talk about the locals or the ones who want to experience SXSW unofficially.

For this post, I’m going to just stick to some spots that piqued my interest and share them with you but if you want to see ALL of the options, go to their incredible list!
South By FYI tips:
✨ Wear comfortable shoes (you’ll be walking a lot) and the weather is so out of wack right now, be prepared for cold, hot, & rain.
✨ Don’t drive because parking is tough and many streets are closed. I suggest ridesharing (Lyft, Uber, Earth Share) or if you’re already downtown, public transportation or scooters!
✨ Be prepared to wait in a lot of lines, patience is a virtue. Being with friends makes this waiting manageable so bring a pal along with you.

Love, Tito’s Spring Music Series
The Love, Tito’s Retail Store recently announced the return of its Spring Music Series. This year’s event kicks off March 13 and will feature four fun-filled days of performances from local musicians, including Miggy & Zack, Maddy Hatchet, DJ Coy O Te and more!
During the weeklong celebration, locals and visitors arriving in Austin from across the country, will be able to enjoy free live music while shopping the unique collection of Tito’s wearables, golf gear, copper-plated barware and more. 100% of net proceeds from the Love, Tito’s Retail Store go to the shopper’s choice of one of the various nonprofits Tito’s Handmade Vodka has teamed up with, including Emancipet and National Parks Foundation.
Please note, there is no Tito’s Handmade Vodka served, sold, or sipped at the Love, Tito’s retail store.
