Austin’s newest rooftop restaurant, Nido at The Loren at Lady Bird Lake is bringing us a thanksgiving day 4-course meal in the main dining room and event space. The bar area and patio will be reserved for walk-in guests and those looking to just grab a drink.
Nido’s thanksgiving meal consists of chestnut soup, a fall salad, savory Heritage turkey, stuffing, honey-roasted cranberries, and a pumpkin tart to finish with classic family-style sides served throughout. Nido will also offer wine pairings for those looking to indulge a little for an additional $50.
guests will be greeted with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine at the table.

lastly, I don’t want to miss the opportunity to talk about volunteering. There are a lot of people out there who don’t have the funds to enjoy Thanksgiving or even the family to surround themselves with on this day of thanks. If you’d like to spend a part of your day giving back, check out some of these opportunities below:
Austin Empty Bowl

Thundercloud Turkey Trot
“This year marks the 32nd anniversary of the ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot, benefitting Caritas of Austin’s work to end homelessness and provide people with the tools and opportunities to succeed. Last year’s event raised $240,000 for Caritas of Austin, bringing the total raised over three decades to more than $4.5 million. The run takes place on Thanksgiving Day each year, and there are plenty of ways you can get involved.
The 2022 Trot will be a hybrid event! That means you can join us in person for a five-mile run, one-mile run or walk, or a Kids K –or sign up to run in your own neighborhood, no matter where in the country you live! REGISTER HERE!”
