Stranded in Austin Due to SXSW Cancellation? Fear Not!
NOTICE:
In lieu of the recent news from CDC and social distancing, I will not be updating the list in this post BUT I want to share this list of restaurants that are offering gift certificates to purchase online in order to support our local businesses.
First time cancellation in South By Southwest history of 34 years.
It is official that South By Southwest has been canceled by Mayor Abbot due to the Coronavirus threat.
Here is some information to learn about this virus so you are educated in what the symptoms look like. It’s important that we are being thorough in hand washing and avoiding touching your face.
The official parties might have been canceled, but that does not mean that you are stuck without things to do in our city! If anything, it’s more important to come visit us and support the local businesses because they were expecting a HUGE turnout between March 12 - 22nd 2020.
I have put together a spreadsheet full of events with their location, the price, the time, and the link for more details and RSVP.
So, let’s talk about what’s going on over the next two weeks!
